ANNUAL GREEN RIVER RIDE 1976-2013

May 2-4, 2013
Rev 06 May 2012

The Green River Ride, formerly the Tenmile Wash Ride, is ideal for the whole family and has been for 37 years.  Hosted by the Utah Trail Machine Association (UTMA) participants of all ages are invited to attend.  Staging is at White Wash located twenty-five miles SE of Green River, Utah—look for our UTMA presence.  The gathering of families and friends creates a delightful atmosphere for all in attendance.  Seasoned veterans enjoy renewing friendships with stories and memorabilia of past Wash rides while rookies make new acquaintances.

A variety of terrain presents exciting trails for dirt bikes and ATVs alike.  There will be those in attendance who can direct new-comers on accessing trails in the area. No organized rides by UTMA are planned— riding is on your own in small groups.

The following trails have been identified by the BLM:

*TENMILE WASH (50 miles): Ride to end of Tenmile Wash exiting Red Wash Trail to Tenmile Canyon area and on to head of Tenmile Wash.  Ride the Wash to Green River.  PLEASE be aware that there are areas of the Tenmile Wash closed to motorized recreation.

*CRYSTAL GEYSER (50 miles): Ride to, and back from Green River north of White Wash.  Ride a variety of terrain and enjoy the scenery.

*HEY JOE MINE (88 miles): Ride Rainbow Rocks Trail to Dubinky Well Road, and on to Hey Joe Mine taking Spring Canyon Trail descending down Spring Canyon north of Bowknot Bend to old uranium mine.

*SCENIC RIDE (50 miles): Experience a challenging route throughout immediate area. This includes famous Dead Cow Wash and The Tubes.  Return by way of Mary’s Trail.

*MONITOR & MERRIMACK ROUTE (100+ miles): Includes travel via Rainbow Rocks Trail, stopping to explore dinosaur bones. Travel to dinosaur tracks and other spectacular views.  A gas stop can be made at the Moab Airport.  One can plan on taking a sack lunch.

*QUADS: Take a fun route from camp meandering throughout the immediate area including sand dunes.  This terrain is great for beginners.

*PRIVATE PROPERTY
There are 1400 acres of land in the White Wash area that are owned by Curtis and Keri Rosmund.  PLEASE respect their private property as well as public property.
